Administer, monitor, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases across Development, QA, UAT, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments.
Install, configure, patch, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot SQL Server instances, databases, and related services.
Monitor database health, availability, CPU, memory, storage, disk I/O, SQL Agent jobs, and capacity; proactively resolve performance issues.
Perform SQL performance tuning by analyzing execution plans, optimizing queries and stored procedures, maintaining indexes/statistics, and resolving blocking and deadlock issues.
Design, manage, and test backup, restore, and disaster-recovery procedures, including full, differential, and transaction-log backups aligned to RTO/RPO requirements.
Implement and support high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, clustering, log shipping, replication, and failover testing.
Manage database security, user access, roles, permissions, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements.
Automate routine DBA activities using T-SQL, PowerShell, SQL Server Agent, and monitoring tools; maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
