Core Technical Requirements:

Informatica PowerCenter
Informatica CDI / PC
Strong SQL and PL/SQL
ETL design and development
XML parsing
Azure DevOps experience, including:

PBIs
Features
Bugs
Pipelines
Overall development workflow

Git repositories and version control
SQL/DML
Strong understanding of the development lifecycle within Azure DevOps

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Informatica ETL solutions supporting business and data requirements.
Connect to Facets, EDW, and other enterprise data warehouses.
Transform and load data based on business needs.
Work on various data-related development projects and enhancements.
Support production applications and data processes.
Troubleshoot production incidents and technical issues.
Address technical debt and ongoing maintenance.
Provide business/application support as needed.
Work within Azure DevOps for development tracking, code management, pipelines, and workflow.
Support the broader environment as teams and work are consolidated.

Healthcare Experience:
Healthcare experience is preferred. Experience working with healthcare data, state-related healthcare projects, insurance environments, or systems such as Facets would be beneficial.

Experience / Level:

Primary target is Level 2.
Level 3 candidates may be considered based on technical depth and experience.
Approximately 3+ years of experience with the core technologies is appropriate for the lower level.
More experienced candidates are welcome, particularly given that the position is replacing a Level 4 resource.
Strong independent problem-solving and the ability to quickly learn the environment are important.
The manager does not want to spend significant time training someone and is looking for a candidate who can contribute quickly.

Production Support / On-Call:

Developers participate in a shared enterprise on-call rotation.
Each developer will generally be on call approximately once per month, depending on the rotation.
The on-call period runs Monday through Monday with 24/7 coverage.
The developer is not actively working every day during the rotation; they respond when an incident requires support.
Responsibilities can include production incidents, maintenance, technical debt, troubleshooting, and business-critical support.

Work Arrangement:

Primarily remote.
Manager is based in Albany, with team resources located in Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse.
There may be an occasional team/corporate meeting, approximately once every couple of months, where the contractor may need to attend or be available.
No regular onsite requirement was indicated.

Contract / Start:

ASAP start is strongly preferred, pending onboarding, clearance, and required system access.
The manager has been trying to fill the position and wants someone who can begin contributing as quickly as possible.
The typical engagement is approximately 18 months, with the potential to extend or end earlier based on performance and business needs.
The ultimate goal is to find the right person and evaluate continuation based on performance.
