On-site in Arlington, VA

Our client seeks a Systems Administrator to support, secure, and optimize enterprise IT operations. The role covers end-user system support and endpoint deployment across Mac, Windows, and Linux. The administrator will install and configure hardware and software, manage identities and access, and collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to maintain a modern and secure environment.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $27.00 to $31.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on desktop and systems administration support for Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software across end-user devices and server systems.
Administer user accounts, access control, and group policies using Active Directory and Azure AD.
Manage IT assets through lifecycle stages including procurement, deployment, support, and decommissioning.
Participate in on-call rotation and perform maintenance outside business hours as required.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support operations and incident response.

Experience Requirements:

3+ years in systems administration or enterprise desktop support.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity and access management tools.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and endpoint security practices.
Familiarity with IT asset management platforms such as SNIPE, JSM, or JIRA.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and off-hours maintenance windows.
Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), JAMF, and PowerShell scripting.
Preferred: Working knowledge of ITIL practices for change, incident, and asset management.
Preferred: Experience supporting remote and hybrid work environments. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, or Cisco are a plus.
