Our client is seeking a OEM Automotive Coatings Materials Engineer to join their team. As a OEM Automotive Coatings Materials Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting vehicle manufacturing and development teams.

Job Title: OEM Automotive Coatings Materials Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI, (Onsite)

Pay Range: $25-$27 per hour

What\'s the Job?

Develop automotive trim coatings and decorative finish technologies for vehicle applications. \t
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coating materials meet performance, appearance, and durability standards. \t
Validate, optimize, and maintain coating materials and associated processes within OEM manufacturing environments. \t
Work closely with suppliers to develop new coating technologies and color formulations. \t
Participate in new model launches, engineering changes, and continuous improvement activities related to coatings.

Deep expertise in materials science, particularly in automotive coatings chemistry and process engineering. \t
Experience in developing, validating, and optimizing coating materials for automotive applications. \t
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, product development, quality, and supplier teams. \t
Ability to create and modify material specifications and standards. \t
Proactive mindset with a focus on sustainable initiatives and innovative material development.
