Support Technician/Help Desk - Level 1

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Office of the Attorney General of Texas requires the services of 2 Support Technician 1, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Support Technician 1, Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations and the specifications outlined in this document for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Office of the Attorney General of Texas  and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Office of the Attorney General of Texas will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Key Responsibilities:

To assist in the manual labor and support associated with the computer/docking station refresh project. These staff would be performing the day-to-day work of imaging, replacing the computers and migrating the data. The process by which this is performed will be provided by the agency. These staff will be part of a team which include an agency subject matter expert, and a project manager to coordinate and lead the work. Windows 11 technical support experience would be helpful but is not required.

 

II.  CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

1	Required	Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of personal computers, components, printers and microcomputers terms. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional work environment.
1	Required	Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Prepares or assists in the preparation of service record documentation.
1	Required	Provides technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems. Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.
1	Required	Ability to provide excellent customer services. Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs
1	Required	Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware and software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.
1	Required	Experience using WordPerfect, MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Skill in effective oral and written communication
1	Required	Assists in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications. May be responsible for accessing data from and transferring data to various local, state, or federal databases.
1	Required	Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, and of information security policies and procedures.
1	Required	Skill in the use and support of personal computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems. Ability to operate information technology systems and communicate effectively.
1	Required	Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
1	Preferred	Windows 11 technical support experience.
