Job#: 3040002 Job Description: Senior Mainframe Developer & Production Support
Location: Brooklyn, Ohio (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer & Support Specialist with strong expertise in IBM z/OS environments. The role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep technical skills in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS, along with experience in production support, incident management, and batch scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deploy applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Develop and maintain online (CICS) and batch processing systems.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for mainframe applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to batch failures, abends, and data inconsistencies.
- Support Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) batch job scheduling and monitoring.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.
- Work with IBM MQ for message-based integrations.
- Use code management tools for version control, migration, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Development & Support, with strong experience in production support environments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hogan Banking System.
- Exposure to mainframe modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with automation and scripting for batch/monitoring improvements.
Work Environment
- Participation in on-call rotation is required.
- Support for batch cycles and critical production windows.
