Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and enterprise solution delivery and a proven ability to design, implement, and optimize large-scale Oracle databases and mentor teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL for Oracle 19c/21c.
- Implement and optimize large Oracle databases and related utilities for high-volume environments.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise projects.
- Contribute to Agile delivery by grooming stories, creating designs, and translating requirements into deliverables.
- Establish and maintain reusable development standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentoring across multiple Agile teams.
- Support CI/CD migration and integration using platforms such as Horizon, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
- Analyze existing codebases and infrastructure to understand current state prior to implementing changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 to 15 years of experience in software development with focus on Oracle databases.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and analytic functions.
- Hands-on experience developing database utilities and implementing large Oracle databases.
- Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Experience delivering enterprise projects, preferably within financial institutions.
- Experience working with front-end development teams and integrating database services.
- Agile methodology experience including Jira story grooming and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to design solution approaches for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with object databases and other relational database systems.
- Background with CI/CD tools and SDM platforms such as Horizon, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
- Experience in financial services environments.
