We are seeking a motivated and bright individual for an Application Programmer role. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 19c/21c.
- Implement large databases in Oracle and develop database utilities using PL/SQL.
- Perform performance tuning, including the optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Maintain re-usable development standards for new solutions and enhancements to existing systems.
- Design solution approaches for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Provide code reviews and mentor across multiple agile teams.
- Read code in multiple languages and inspect infrastructure to understand the current state before implementing changes.
- Migrate to CI/CD with SDM platforms such as Horizon, BitBucket, and Artifactory.
- Understand client requirements (stories), develop story-level designs, and translate them into deliverables.
- Work within an agile environment, including JIRA story grooming and execution.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required. This includes a proven track record in implementing large databases in Oracle and contributing to enterprise project deliveries, preferably within a financial institution.
Technical Skills: Strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, and analytics functions is mandatory. The ability to develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and SQL statements is required. Experience with CI/CD migration using platforms like Horizon, BitBucket, or Artifactory is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with object databases and other relational databases is preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and work independently.
