Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technology Governance & Portfolio Strategy Lead for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will support a newly established function focused on improving governance, visibility, and risk management across a large and complex technology change portfolio. The ideal candidate will help build and operationalize a change radar that brings together various technology initiatives to provide an integrated view of planned changes and apply a risk lens to identify potential conflicts and dependencies.
Responsibilities: - Help build and operationalize governance, operating models, and execution frameworks for a technology change and investment portfolio function
- Develop and maintain an integrated change radar across technology initiatives, including near-term and long-term change, resiliency activities, and data migrations
- Bring multiple schedules and sources of information together to create a consolidated view of technology change
- Apply a risk and governance lens to planned technology activities to identify potential conflicts and dependencies
- Establish repeatable processes and operating routines to move from initial development into sustainable ongoing operations
- Analyze portfolio and technology data to develop actionable insights and support leadership decision-making
- Create executive-level presentations, reporting, and decision-support materials
- Partner across technology and business functions to establish governance, influence stakeholders, and drive execution
- Use generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to support analysis, workflow development, and process design
Requirements: - 7+ years of Information Technology experience in support of Business Services
- Experience building and operationalizing governance frameworks, operating models, or execution frameworks within large, complex organizations
- Strong experience with technology governance, portfolio management, strategy execution, or technology project/program environments
- Demonstrated ability to establish repeatable processes and manage ongoing operations in rapidly evolving or ambiguous environments
- Working knowledge of technology change management frameworks
- Strong understanding of risk management and the ability to use data to identify technology-related risks
- Experience performing complex data analysis and translating information into insights
- Strong executive communication and reporting capabilities
- Hands-on familiarity with generative AI, particularly prompting and using tools such as Copilot
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and deliver with minimal oversight
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Desired skills: - Experience working within financial services or another large, highly complex organization
- Previous experience within a technology strategy, technology governance, portfolio management, or technology risk function
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools
- Experience supporting solution delivery and organizational effectiveness initiatives
Pay range: $70.63 - $78.63 per hour
