Introduction
Launch your career like an IBMer
Every IBMer has a story. For many, it started with an internship.
As an IBM intern, you won't just gain experience - you'll start thinking, working, and growing like an IBMer. From day one, you'll contribute to real client projects across diverse industries, working alongside experienced IBMers who are invested in your success. You'll be challenged, supported, and inspired, often all in the same day. You'll develop technical expertise and consulting skills in a culture built on continuous learning, mentorship, and coaching. High-performing interns have a clear pathway into IBM's Associate Program, launching careers at one of the world's most innovative technology and consulting companies.
To give yourself the best opportunity for success, we advise applying only to roles that align with your skills and experience, rather than applying broadly across all entry-level positions. You'll receive a status update email for each application, so be sure to check your IBM Careers account regularly - it's the best way to get a centralized view of which roles you have active applications against.
Your role and responsibilities
During your internship, you'll gain hands-on experience by supporting client projects while developing professional and technical skills. You'll collaborate with experienced consultants, contribute to SAP-related initiatives, and build a strong foundation in enterprise technology and business transformation.
At IBM, we foster a culture of continuous learning, coaching, and mentorship. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, build a strong professional network, and potentially advance into our full-time Associates Program based on your performance.
Work experiences you could be exposed to:
- SAP Business Processes: Support teams working on SAP solutions that help clients improve business functions such as finance, supply chain, procurement, and human resources.
- Business & Project Support: Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, testing, reporting, and other activities that contribute to successful SAP implementations and transformation projects.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work alongside functional and technical teams, participating in workshops and meetings to better understand client needs and business processes.
- Technology Exposure: Gain experience with enterprise applications and cloud technologies, including SAP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Analytics solutions.
The primary internship program dates are May to July 2027 (10 weeks).
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
