Summary

Location: Coal Valley, IL Salary: $24.00 USD Hourly - $27.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Test Technician

Location: Coal Valley, IL
Duration: 24 months with possible extension

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and configure test setups, including fixtures, instrumentation, component modifications, and overall test arrangements.
Perform testing using both computer-controlled equipment and manually operated mechanical systems.
Gather, monitor, and document test data utilizing digital and analog measurement devices.
Work closely with engineers and technical staff to provide updates on test status, communicate issues, and review results.
Complete post-test activities, including equipment teardown, cleaning, inspection, and restoration of test areas.
Ensure testing activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using power tools, machine shop equipment, and metalworking tools.
Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and leadership.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and related components.
Fundamental understanding of heat transfer principles.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and PLC programming.
Previous experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or product development environment.
