Position: Security Analyst - Entry

Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description: Entry-level security analyst role supporting threat intelligence, threat hunting, log analysis, incident response, and security operations. Training provided with focus on building a strong foundation in security monitoring, detection, and remediation. Expect to work with SIEM, endpoint protection, and cloud security concepts while developing practical incident response and automation skills.
- Basic server/network administration and security fundamentals
- Threat intelligence research, OSINT gathering, and documenting findings
- Detection rule development for SIEM and endpoint tools; log analysis for IOCs
- Incident triage, evidence gathering, and following standardized response frameworks
- Vulnerability management, patching prioritization, security awareness training, and automation (PowerShell, SCCM, GPO)
Required Skills (ranked by importance)
- Understanding of security concepts and processes
- Basic server or network administration knowledge
Preferred Skills (ranked by importance)
- 1+ year in server/network administration
- 1+ year in an IT security role
- Experience with SIEM and endpoint security tools
- PowerShell, Group Policy, and endpoint management experience
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and cloud security
Education/Certifications
- High School Diploma required
- Certifications encouraged but not required: GSEC, Security+, Network+
Additional Details
- On-site schedule with weekend evening shifts after training (likely 8:00 PM 8:00 AM; Wed/Thu days 8:30 AM 2:45 PM)
- Onboarding screenings include background, credit, driving record, drug screen, and fingerprinting (SC)
- Onsite interviews; no remote/hybrid option
