Mandatory Skills & Requirements
Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Google Apigee Edge / Apigee Hybrid environments.
Experience with Apigee platform configuration, environment management, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of API Proxies, Shared Flows, policies, routing, deployments, and environment configurations.
Expertise in API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, TLS/mTLS, authentication, and authorization.
Experience supporting Apigee Hybrid runtime environments on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and API lifecycle management.
Experience with Linux and container technologies.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform, and scripting.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability using Apigee Analytics and tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus.
Strong production troubleshooting, incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Apigee Edge and Apigee Hybrid environments to ensure platform stability, availability, security, and operational readiness.
Configure and manage Apigee environments, API proxies, shared flows, policies, deployments, and routing.
Monitor API platform health, traffic, performance, and operational metrics using Apigee Analytics and enterprise monitoring tools.
Support Apigee Hybrid runtime environments running on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Troubleshoot API platform security issues involving OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/mTLS, authentication, and authorization.
Participate in incident and problem management, production troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Support platform automation using Jenkins/CI-CD, Terraform, Helm, and scripting.
Perform platform upgrades, patching, configuration changes, resiliency improvements, and scalability activities.
Collaborate with application, development, DevOps, OpenShift/Kubernetes, network, and security teams for API onboarding and issue resolution.
Support Apigee Edge-to-Hybrid migration and cloud-native platform modernization initiatives.
Preferred Skills
Google Cloud Platform experience.
Apigee Edge-to-Hybrid migration experience.
Docker and container administration.
Experience integrating PingFederate or Okta.
Akamai/CDN/WAF integration experience.
Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
Experience supporting highly available enterprise API platforms.
Strong understanding of cloud-native API management and platform modernization.
