Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. You will be responsible for taking ownership of complex cloud infrastructure solutions and leading the design, implementation, and management of a platform built on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

You will collaborate closely with developers, operations teams, and security professionals to ensure the platform is robust, scalable, secure, future-ready, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage GKE infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and containerization services.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

• Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Google Cloud Platform tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot platform issues.

• Ensure the platform is highly available, scalable, secure, and compliant with industry best practices.

• Stay current with the latest Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and cloud technology advancements.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers while fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Optimize platform efficiency and performance while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

• Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with at least 2 years focused on Google Cloud Platform.

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong experience with container orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE.

• In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including:

  • Compute Engine

  • Cloud Storage

  • Cloud Networking

  • Kubernetes Engine

  • Cloud Monitoring

  • IAM

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.

• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Experience implementing infrastructure security best practices and security automation on Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

• Experience working with large-scale, highly available cloud platforms.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, automation, and cost optimization.
