Summary

Role: Google Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration:12+months

Interview: video

Responsibilities:

Design and implement enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
Define recovery strategies based on RTO/RPO and business requirements.
Architect multi-region/multi-zone Google Cloud Platform environments for high availability and resiliency.
Implement backup, replication, failover, and recovery solutions using native Google Cloud Platform services.
Design resilient networking with automated routing and failover.
Lead DR exercises, failover testing, recovery validation, and readiness assessments.
Develop DR runbooks, recovery procedures, and operational documentation.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility for DR environments.
Partner with infrastructure, security, application, operations, and business teams.
Provide technical leadership and optimize resiliency solutions against infrastructure and operational costs.

Required Skills:

Strong Google Cloud Platform cloud architecture and multi-region/multi-zone design experience.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform DR/recovery services.
Strong networking and failover architecture experience.
Terraform/OpenTofu and GitLab.
SRE practices, RTO/RPO, DR drills, monitoring, logging, IAM, and security.
Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
Google Professional Cloud Architect certification required.

Nice to Have:

Microsoft Azure experience.
Multi-cloud DR/resiliency architecture.
Additional Cloud/Security/SRE certifications.
