Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join a highly collaborative engineering team supporting Amazon Business foundational services. This engineer will help design and build large-scale distributed systems that support business customers globally. The role is focused on back-end development, scalable architectures, cloud technologies, and solving complex data challenges rather than primarily front-end UI work. The position is onsite at DFW20 and works closely with engineering teams in both the U.S. and Spain.

Top Technical Requirements
- AWS Cloud experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
- C++ development experience (Java experience also highly relevant)
- Object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Full SDLC experience including coding, testing, code reviews, deployment, and support
- Experience building large-scale, multi-tiered applications and services
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- C++ knowledge
- Strong AWS cloud and backend engineering background
- Experience designing and building scalable distributed applications
- Comfortable making technical decisions and recommending solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Former Amazon experience
- Generative AI experience
- Experience supporting business-facing platforms or enterprise-scale applications
