Software Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Irving, TX.

Duties:
* Software Development Engineer will design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using modern front-end technologies
* Build and support backend services, business logic, APIs, and system integrations
* Develop scalable, maintainable solutions that support evolving business and customer needs
* Implement secure authentication, authorization, and identity management solutions
* Follow secure development practices to protect sensitive application and customer data
* Design, query, and optimize relational databases and data models
* Develop and maintain reliable integrations between internal and external business systems
* Support event-driven and asynchronous application architectures
* Build solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, resiliency, monitoring, and maintainability
* Use Git-based source control, code reviews, continuous integration, and other modern development practices
* As a Software Development Engineer, you will participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design, estimation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with business and technology teams to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
* Extensive software development experience, preferably in full-stack application development
* Strong experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
* Experience developing backend applications and services using C#, .NET, or similar technologies
* Strong experience with relational databases, including data modeling, querying, indexing, and performance optimization
* Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications
* Experience working in Agile software development environments
* Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
* Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and data-access controls
* Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and collaboration skills
* Ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable applications
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-based application development
* Experience with identity and access management solutions
* Experience with asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures, or data synchronization
* Experience developing applications within complex, multi-location, or high-volume business environments
* Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise business systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
