Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – AI / Software Engineering to lead software development teams responsible for building, integrating, and operationalizing AI-driven solutions. The Tech Lead will provide technical leadership across architecture, application development, system integration, testing, deployment, and production operations while working closely with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, engineering teams, and senior leadership. The role will support AI and data-driven initiatives, including Delay Propagation Engine (DPE) Integrations and AI for Crew Negotiations, with a strong focus on delivering scalable, reliable, maintainable, and production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of software developers in the planning, development, delivery, and operation of highly reliable software applications. Provide technical leadership and ensure the quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance of software solutions. Partner with Solution Architects and shared-services teams to create, review, and approve application designs. Provide accurate development estimates and support project feasibility and planning activities. Design, develop, review, and maintain high-quality software using modern engineering practices. Develop and execute unit, functional, and integration testing with an emphasis on automation and test-driven development. Provide technical oversight for performance testing and ensure solutions meet defined non-functional requirements. Plan and oversee application deployments across non-production and production environments. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, particularly AI, data, cloud, and analytics technologies, to improve business and engineering outcomes. Identify and address technical debt while balancing development effort with business value.
Mentor developers on architecture, design, coding standards, testing, DevOps, and operational practices. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Communicate technical concepts, risks, options, recommendations, and business value to both technical and non-technical audiences. Influence technical decisions across teams and leadership without direct authority. Lead multiple initiatives concurrently while maintaining delivery commitments.
