Your ResponsibilitiesAs a
Structures Engineer for
Dubuque Works located in
Dubuque, Iowa, you will support the Small Excavator Structures and Undercarriage Design Development. In addition, you will:
- Collaborate within a cross functional team to develop structural designs that meet customer needs
- Support the design and print development for small excavator structures within the product delivery process of new product program
- Support physical builds, production launches, testing, and customer field evaluations

What Skills You Need- Experience with product development processes
- Strong desire and ability to learn and apply design principles to ongoing design activities
- Experience with 3D modeling tools, such as Creo and Solidworks
- Demonstrated experience and ability to analyze technical data, consider multiple alternatives, and provide data-driven decisions/recommendations
- Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and internationally, up to 25%
What Makes You Standout- Familiarity with construction, agriculture, or forestry equipment
- Cross-functional experience related to verification, performance evaluation, software, and/or manufacturing teams
- Working knowledge of John Deere product development processes.
- Experience developing and applying geometrical dimension and tolerancing principles and tolerance stack ups
- Experience performing or interpreting FEA analysis
- Experience with stampings, welding, casting, composites, and/or machining processes
- Demostrated experience managing several projects simultaneously
EducationIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Weld Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
