Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Healthcare Payer Enrollment & Billing applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise healthcare applications, backend services, REST APIs, messaging integrations, and database components.
Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have prior hands-on development experience with Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing applications and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance healthcare payer enrollment and billing applications, backend services, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and participate in the complete software development lifecycle.
Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, database components, event-driven integrations, and batch-processing solutions.
Work with relational databases, including DB2 and PostgreSQL, using SQL, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA.
Implement messaging and event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka or similar enterprise messaging technologies.
Troubleshoot application and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, security practices, and CI/CD automation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA, DevOps, and onshore/offshore development teams.
Provide technical guidance to team members and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience.
Strong expertise in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
Mandatory hands-on experience in Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing applications.
Strong experience developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations.
Hands-on experience with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases.
Experience with DB2 and/or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Apache Kafka or enterprise messaging technologies.
Familiarity with Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Knowledge of application security, OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security.
Desired Skills:
Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Cloud platforms and cloud-native application development.
REST/SOAP integrations and API security.
Observability, application monitoring, and production support.
Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise software delivery.
