Summary

Data Management Expert

Location: On-site at Falls Church, Virginia, or Ft. Collins, Colorado

· Ensure compliance with data and metadata management policies and regulations.

· Develop and test data models, database structure and data workflows.

· Implement data pipelines using AWS, Databricks, and other ETL solutions.

· Support the development and maintenance of Data Lakehouse architectures, including graph databases.

· Develop APIs to make necessary FWS data available to the public.

· Ensure technical documentation is accurate and thorough:

o System configurations, API documentation, and standard operating procedures.

o Data integration workflows and security protocols.

o Performance dashboards tracking key metrics and system health.

· Complete weekly status reports detailing work completed, issues, and upcoming milestones

Requirements/Skills:

· Databricks, Data Lakehouse Solutions, Delta Lakes

· SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Postgres SQL, ETL Tools such as FME, Big Data Technologies

· AWS QuickSight, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Data Validation, Data Mapping and Migration, Data Modeling, Database design and development

· Data and Metadata management, Data Governance

· Graphing databases including ESRIs ArcGIS Knowledge graph software and analytics

· SQL, Python, R
