Internship Description: - Assist with WDC projects including:
- New water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Rehabilitations and improvements for existing treatment facilities.
- Some examples of design tasks are:
- Assist in developing drawings for various treatment processes
- Optimize specifications for equipment and construction materials
- Learn and use design software to model pumping systems and hydraulics
- Develop project cost estimates
- Develop calculations and tools to solve design problems
- Provide peer reviews to ensure quality standards are met
- Review contractor submittals for projects in construction
- Attend site visits

Requirements: Candidates must be pursuing a mechanical engineering, biological engineering, biosystems engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
Work Environment This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
