Our client, a leading innovator in automotive technology, is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Chassis Actuator Engineering Department supporting collaborative development efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Firmware Validation Engineer - Brakes & Steering
Location:Foster City, CA
Pay Range:$80-$85/hour + Benefits
What\'s the Job?
\t- Develop and maintain comprehensive brake and steering subsystem technical specifications through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. \t
- Contribute to the development of diagnostic scripts and tools to enhance validation processes. \t
- Collaborate with suppliers to adapt test plans for firmware validation and perform regression testing to meet project deadlines. \t
- Lead resolution of firmware defects with suppliers and assess impacts by leveraging our architecture and system design teams. \t
- Engage with experts across AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision, and Robotics to leverage collective expertise and foster innovation.
What\'s Needed?
\t- BS or MS in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience in the automotive or similar industry. \t
- Proven ability to debug complex problems involving hardware, software, and firmware. \t
- Experience with automotive actuator controls and validation methods. \t
- Knowledge of automotive program development, release processes, and long-term schedule planning. \t
- Experience with test methodologies and developing/operating HIL test assets.
