Location: Fremont, CA (5 Days Onsite) Local Only
Duration: 6–12 Months Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5–6 years of experience to join a fast-paced engineering team developing a new internal application that enhances engineering operations and productivity.

This is a hands-on coding role, requiring strong software development skills in addition to test automation expertise. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, software quality, and building scalable testing solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
Build automated tests for web applications, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
Collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
Support both scheduled releases and rapid deployment cycles.
Perform root cause analysis and drive defect resolution.
Participate in code reviews and improve engineering best practices.
Define test strategies and automation architecture.

Basic Qualifications

5–6 years of SDET/Test Automation experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and Playwright.
Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment.
