Description: Business Systems AnalystAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Business Systems Analyst to partner with business and technology teams in delivering enterprise application initiatives. This role will be responsible for requirements analysis, business process improvement, system implementations, data mapping, testing coordination, and stakeholder management across multiple projects and platforms.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments, and a proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Experience supporting Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), and IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms is highly preferred.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements elicitation sessions.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and related artifacts.
- Identify interdependencies, overlaps, risks, constraints, and process improvement opportunities across initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
System Implementation & Integration- Support end-to-end system implementation efforts, including planning, requirements definition, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Perform data mapping and interface analysis for new system implementations, integrations, and data migration activities.
- Partner with technical teams to define system workflows, integration requirements, and data transformation rules.
- Assist in evaluating solution options and recommending improvements to business processes and system functionality.
Testing & Quality Assurance- Lead or support test planning activities, including creation of test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and test execution plans.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and regression testing efforts.
- Manage defect tracking and facilitate issue resolution with business and technical teams.
- Ensure implemented solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement- Work effectively within both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, requirements reviews, and project governance activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support change management and user adoption activities during implementations.
Governance, Risk & Compliance Support- Support initiatives involving Governance, Risk Management, Compliance (GRC), and IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
- Assist with regulatory, audit, compliance, and control-related requirements as needed.
- Document business processes, controls, and system requirements to support governance and compliance objectives.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- 5+ years of experience in test planning, test coordination, or test leadership activities.
- 5+ years of experience performing data mapping, interface analysis, or system integration activities.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience supporting enterprise software implementations and application lifecycle activities.
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise application implementations involving workflow automation and integrations.
- Experience with Onspring.
- Experience with Neurons or similar ITSM/service management platforms.
- Knowledge of process mapping, data modeling, and business process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams in large enterprise environments.
