Position OverviewInternational is currently searching for a
Manufacturing Engineer Lead - S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities- Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
- React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective and long-term solutions
- Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
- Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities' manufacturing processes
- Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
- Lead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developments
- Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement and improved efficiency
- Initiate, develop, and pursue capital appropriation projects
- This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing
OR
- Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing
OR
- At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
Additional Requirements- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills- Strong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
- Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
- Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV's, etc.
- Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.
- Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
- Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their design
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
- Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
- Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
- Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed
