Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Architect to lead the end-to-end data migration strategy and execution for large-scale Siemens Teamcenter / Teamcenter X implementation programs.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLM data migration, Teamcenter data models, ETL processes, data transformation, validation, and enterprise-scale migration architecture. This role will be responsible for developing migration strategies and frameworks to migrate product, engineering, quality, CAD, and document data into Teamcenter X while ensuring data integrity, traceability, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with Teamcenter X is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern the end-to-end data migration strategy, architecture, roadmap, and execution plan for Teamcenter X implementations.
- Lead source-system discovery, data inventory, profiling, assessment, and migration scope definition.
- Analyze legacy PLM, QMS, CAD, and document management systems and determine migration requirements.
- Design detailed source-to-target mappings for Teamcenter objects, including:
- Items and Item Revisions
- BOMs and Product Structures
- Documents and Document Revisions
- CAD Data
- Workflows
- Change Objects
- Classification Data
- Relationships and Metadata
- Establish data cleansing, transformation, enrichment, deduplication, archival, and retention strategies.
- Design and oversee data extraction, staging, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and loading processes.
- Lead the development of migration utilities, automation scripts, frameworks, and reusable accelerators.
- Define data validation rules and ensure data integrity, referential consistency, traceability, auditability, and completeness.
- Plan and govern mock migrations, migration rehearsals, production cutovers, rollback strategies, and post-migration hypercare.
- Define migration KPIs, quality metrics, reconciliation reports, exception management, and defect-resolution processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, PLM/QMS SMEs, technical architects, and development teams.
- Identify migration risks, dependencies, gaps, and technical constraints and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support legacy system retirement, data archival, retention, and compliance initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in data migration, PLM, enterprise application transformation, or related architecture roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Teamcenter data models and PLM data migration methodologies.
- Strong understanding of ETL, data extraction, transformation, staging, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience designing migration frameworks and source-to-target data mappings.
- Experience working with complex product structures, BOMs, documents, CAD data, workflows, and metadata.
- Strong understanding of data quality, cleansing, deduplication, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale migration programs involving multiple stakeholders and source systems.
- Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Teamcenter X / Siemens Teamcenter.
- Siemens Teamcenter certification is an advantage.
- Experience with Teamcenter – Siemens Industry Solutions for Medical Device Technology (MDT).
- Experience retiring legacy PLM, QMS, and document management systems.
- Experience with data retention and archival strategies.
- Experience in Life Sciences or Medical Device environments.
- Understanding of validation, compliance, traceability, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud-based migration and staging environments supporting Teamcenter X SaaS.
- Experience with SolidWorks and CAD data migration.
Industry Experience
Experience supporting regulated industries, particularly Life Sciences and Medical Devices, is highly desirable. Candidates should understand the importance of data integrity, validation, traceability, auditability, and regulatory compliance within these environments.
