Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Automation Engineer (DAE) I to join our Infrastructure Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, with a particular emphasis on Jenkins and Docker. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure while supporting the development and deployment of applications. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the deployment process.
Utilize Docker for containerization of applications, ensuring seamless integration and deployment across various environments.
Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that enhance performance and reliability.
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Implement best practices for infrastructure management, including configuration management, version control, and documentation.
Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
Provide support for production systems, including incident response and root cause analysis.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve infrastructure processes.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, specifically Jenkins.
Proficiency in Docker for containerization and orchestration.
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Understanding of security best practices in infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Computing, or Infrastructure Management are a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
