Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to support the testing and validation of web-based software applications. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manual test cases to enhance regression test coverage and validate new functionality.
- Execute manual test cases, including ad-hoc and exploratory testing, as required.
- Document and review testing results, collaborating closely with Development and Business Analysis teams to investigate and resolve reported issues.
- Create and maintain test data required for manual test execution.
- Perform software configuration and deployment activities to support successful testing outcomes.
- Manage testing activities in alignment with project schedules and delivery milestones.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and project workflows, providing feedback on quality risks and testing concerns.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables across software, hardware, test cases, defect reports, and testing documentation.
- Develop subject matter expertise in existing and newly released features, including troubleshooting through log analysis and maintaining test artifacts.
- Analyze existing functionality and test coverage to identify opportunities for new test scenarios and improvements to existing test cases.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience testing web-based software applications.
- Experience using SQL to query, update, and manage data within SQL Server databases.
- Strong understanding of structured testing methodologies, concepts, and tools.
- Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UI automation tools, preferably Selenium, and web service testing tools such as Postman, Fiddler, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with hardware-integrated applications and devices, including card processing devices, access control systems, mobile devices, and Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals.
- Experience testing applications that utilize Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring concepts.
- Experience using Jira for Agile project management and defect tracking.
- Experience using TestRail for test case creation, organization, execution, and reporting.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- BS or BA degree required.
