- Supporting the Investment Office, primarily focused on data and reporting.
- Build, maintain, and enhance automated reporting solutions.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work hands-on with data, reporting, and the existing Microsoft ecosystem.
- Maintain and tweak existing reporting processes while also taking ownership of new projects.
- Help automate manual operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and introduce AI capabilities.
- Support development of tools within the team's existing Microsoft 365 / low-code environment.
- The team intentionally operates with minimal/no traditional IT support using a Microsoft 365 low-code ecosystem.
- Primary technologies: Microsoft Power Apps, Power Query / M code, Power BI, Power Automate, DAX
Ideal Candidate
- Strong data experience is the top priority.
- Ideally has experience in investments or finance and understands financial/investment reporting concepts.
- Experience delivering data solutions within a business unit is valuable.
- Expected experience level: approximately 7–10 years.
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or related field.
- A finance-background candidate may also be considered if they developed the required technical skills through work experience.
Location / Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role based in downtown Chicago.
- Team generally works in the office once a week on Tuesdays.
- Candidates should ideally be able to work in Chicago 1–2 days per week.
Role Emphasis
- This is not primarily a traditional data analyst role focused on analyzing datasets.
- It is closer to a Business Systems Analyst / Data Solutions role:
Interview / Hiring Process

-Looking for someone with strong business systems knowledge with working knowledge of investments and/or finance
-Operate independently within the business unit, including sourcing and transforming data with minimal IT support
-Have a solid understanding of database schemas and relational data structures
-Be able to quickly learn and apply new software, platforms, and development syntax
-Have hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
