Datastage Engineer

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of development experience and possess strong knowledge in Oracle, PL/SQL, and Datastage. The Datastage Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our data integration processes.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Datastage
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data integration needs
Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability
Create and maintain documentation related to ETL processes
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration processes
Work with the team to ensure data quality and integrity

Requirements:

Required Skills:

Approximately 10 years of development experience
Strong knowledge of Unix platform and batch scripting
Experience working with Oracle and proficiency in PL/SQL
Hands-on experience with Datastage for ETL processes

Preferred Skills:

Experience with data warehousing concepts
Knowledge of other ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend
Certifications in Oracle or Datastage
