Cloud Integration Architect
Location: Cincinnati, OH, Hybrid
Start Date: Immediate
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Integration Engineer to connect and streamline communication across complex software systems. In this role, you will design, build, and manage the interfaces that allow our cloud-native applications, legacy systems, and third-party platforms to communicate seamlessly. You will leverage modern API gateways, Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solution, and cloud architectures to ensure that data and workflows move securely and efficiently across our enterprise landscape.
Core Responsibilities
Architecture & Design: Design, develop, and deploy modular, scalable integration solutions connecting on-premises infrastructure with public or hybrid cloud environments.
API Management: Build and manage secure APIs and microservices using enterprise gateways and integration suites (e.g., Google Apigee, SAP BTP, MuleSoft).
Data Pipelines & Messaging: Implement message queues, event-driven architectures, and data transformation logic using protocols like REST, OData, and SOAP.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all integration points adhere to strict data integrity standards, encrypting data in transit and enforcing least-privilege access via OAuth, SAML, and identity management protocols.
Performance & Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot connectivity bottlenecks, and implement robust error-handling mechanisms to prevent data loss across decoupled systems.
Collaboration: Act as a technical translator between business stakeholders and development teams, converting business requirements into robust technical interfaces.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in managing workloads in major cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).
Integration Technologies: Deep expertise in enterprise integration platforms (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP SLT), API gateways (e.g., Apigee), and message brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka).
Programming & Scripting: Strong coding abilities in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
Networking Foundations: Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including DNS, VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and secure VPN routing.
DevOps & Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience migrating monolithic on-premises applications to decoupled, service-oriented cloud architectures.
Background in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex infrastructure vulnerabilities.
