Functional Architect
Hybrid (Onsite at least 3 days/wk) Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for an Functional Architect to analyze, determine, and document functional requirements related to the accessibility of websites and related solutions. The consultant will serve as the functional expert on accessibility for websites and applications within the department and provide expertise in the business processes supported by web hosting platforms and related applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, determine, and document functional requirements related to the accessibility of websites and related solutions.
- Define and align business requirements and technical requirements for accessibility.
- Conduct impact analyses of business requirements on customer-facing applications and websites.
- Gather and interpret user requirements and legal accessibility requirements into design specifications.
- Participate in or lead design of customer-facing websites and applications.
- Review website code and make edits to ensure accessibility.
- Lead testing for websites and customer-facing solutions to ensure accessibility.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Follow quality standards.
- Work in a team environment.
- Provide strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Act as the functional expert on accessibility for websites and applications within the department.
- Provide expertise in the business processes supported by web hosting platforms and related applications.
- Provide expertise for defining functional architecture of websites and customer-facing applications.
- Plan and develop user interface strategy in alignment with accessibility requirements.
- Identify and track issues, risks, and action items affecting own work and work of team.
- Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study in the area of accessibility and website design and development required.
