Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Oil & Gas domain, specifically Midstream operations. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and our technical delivery teams. You will independently lead requirement gathering, apply domain insights to contextualize business needs, and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications to drive data and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate directly with business leaders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and project priorities.
- Requirements Management: Gather, document, and validate comprehensive business and functional requirements from diverse stakeholder groups.
- Domain Contextualisation: Apply deep knowledge of Midstream processes—including pipeline operations, transportation, storage, and processing—to refine project scope.
- Technical Translation: Transform complex business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and actionable inputs for engineers.
- Process Alignment: Manage stakeholder expectations, drive regular follow-ups, and ensure final delivery aligns precisely with business objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Domain Expertise: Solid, proven domain knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry, with specific hands-on experience in Midstream operations.
- Business Analysis: Strong background as a Business Analyst, with a demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end requirement-gathering lifecycles.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to interact with senior leadership and clients.
- Documentation & Analysis: Sharp analytical capabilities with a track record of producing clear, high-quality functional documentation.
- Collaboration: Natural ability to collaborate across hybrid teams, bridging the gap between non-technical business units and engineering teams.
