Job Title: Senior Consultant – BI/Databricks
Location: Downey, CA - Remote
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay range: $60 to $70 per hour -DOE
Job Description:
- Design, develop, and support enterprise Power BI solutions in Azure environments from implementation through ongoing support.
- Develop and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
- Design and implement data warehouse solutions utilizing Azure Databricks, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Create and maintain semantic data models using Power BI, SSAS, Azure Synapse, and Databricks with DAX and MDX.
- Implement advanced Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) across Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for high-performance reporting and analytics.
- Develop and support business intelligence solutions using IBM Cognos tools, including Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Dashboards, Analysis Studio, Active Reports, Workspace Advanced, and Cognos Connection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable BI and analytics solutions in Agile environments.
- Support Azure Cloud, Azure Data services, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle following Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies.
Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience with Power BI and Microsoft Azure environments.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing Power BI Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
- 3+ years of hands-on Data Warehouse experience with Azure Databricks, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing data models using Power BI, SSAS, Azure Synapse, or Databricks with DAX and MDX.
- 3+ years of experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) in Power BI.
- 4+ years of experience writing, debugging, tuning, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- 1+ year of experience with IBM Cognos (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Analysis Studio, Dashboards, Active Reports, Workspace Advanced, Cognos Connection).
- Experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Data Services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Automation, C#, and Web API.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
