Job Description – Insurance Program Manager

Role: Program Manager – Insurance
Rate: Market standards
Work Model: Hybrid – Must be able to work onsite in Erie, PA, 2–3 days per week

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Program Manager to lead and manage complex technology and business transformation programs for a leading insurance organization. The ideal candidate will have strong insurance domain expertise, excellent program management capabilities, and experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex programs within the insurance domain.
Manage program roadmaps, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate across business, technology, product, operations, and vendor teams.
Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders to drive program priorities and strategic objectives.
Manage multiple projects and workstreams while ensuring alignment with overall program goals.
Identify risks and delivery challenges and proactively drive mitigation and resolution.
Provide executive-level program reporting, status updates, and governance.
Drive stakeholder alignment across geographically distributed teams and third-party partners.
Support transformation, modernization, and technology implementation initiatives.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, preferably managing large enterprise programs.
Strong experience in the Insurance industry; Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience is highly preferred.
Good understanding of insurance business processes such as Policy, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, and Customer/Agent operations.
Proven experience managing large, complex, cross-functional technology programs.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Strong experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple vendors, teams, dependencies, and competing priorities.
PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or similar certifications are a plus.
Must be able to travel/commute to Erie, Pennsylvania, 2–3 days per week.

Preferred Candidate Locations: Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, or surrounding areas with reasonable accessibility to Erie, PA.
