Position: Enterprise Data Architect with AI

Location: Houston, TX (3 days hybrid onsite)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect with AI to design and lead enterprise-wide data and AI architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data architecture, cloud platforms, data engineering, AI/ML, and modern data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise data architecture and data strategies.
Define data models, data platforms, data governance, and integration standards.
Design s
Callable cloud-based data solutions across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Architect modern data lakes, data warehouses, and lake house platforms.
Integrate AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities into enterprise data platforms.
Design solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI services/APIs.
Ensure data security, privacy, quality, governance, and compliance.
Work with data engineering, AI/ML, application, security, and business teams.
Evaluate and recommend data and AI technologies, tools, and platforms.
Create architecture diagrams, HLDs, standards, and reference architectures.
Drive modernization of legacy data platforms and migration to cloud.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture.
Hands-on knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform cloud data services.
Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark, and data engineering concepts.
Experience with AI/ML and Generative AI architectures.
Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, embeddings, and AI APIs.
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, metadata, and data quality.
Excellent architecture, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar AI platforms.
Experience designing enterprise GenAI solutions and AI-enabled data platforms.
Knowledge of Data Mesh, Data Fabric, MDM, and real-time data architecture.
Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications.
