Senior Data Scientist – Databricks / Dataiku Migration

Job Summary
YottaFlex AI Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support an enterprise Analytics & AI Modernization initiative. This role will focus on assessing existing machine learning solutions and leading the migration and modernization of analytics workloads from Dataiku to Databricks.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with machine learning, Python, SQL, statistical modeling, and production ML solutions, along with the ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing machine learning models, analytics solutions, and workflows.
- Lead migration and modernization of ML and analytics solutions from Dataiku to Databricks.
- Develop, optimize, validate, and deploy machine learning models.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model selection, and performance evaluation.
- Establish best practices for model development, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
- Translate business requirements into actionable analytics and AI solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Mentor team members and promote data science best practices.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
- Strong experience with machine learning and statistical modeling.
- Experience building, tuning, and deploying ML models in production.
- Experience with feature engineering, model evaluation, and exploratory data analysis.
- Strong understanding of model performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently lead complex analytics initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience with Dataiku.
- Experience migrating or modernizing ML workloads between platforms.
- Experience with PySpark and MLflow.
- Knowledge of Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with Responsible AI, model governance, and model monitoring.
- Consulting or enterprise transformation experience.
Education
Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
