Regulatory Reporting Specialist / FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report)

Location: NYC, NY

Type: Hybrid, 2 days onsite

Job Summary

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Specialist to support its regulatory reporting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting regulatory reports, with a primary focus on the FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report) required by the Federal Reserve.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file the FR Y-15 (Systemic Risk Report) in accordance with Federal Reserve requirements.
Ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines.
Analyze financial data and perform reconciliations to support regulatory reporting accuracy.
Prepare U.S. GAAP adjusting journal entries as required for regulatory reporting purposes.
Review and validate reporting information received from various business units and branches.
Maintain communication with regulators and respond to regulatory reporting inquiries and issues.
Identify reporting discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and maintain regulatory reporting procedures, documentation, and guidance for branches.
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting teams.
Support enhancements and process improvements related to regulatory reporting activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or accounting within the banking/financial services industry.
Experience handling U.S. regulatory reports required for Foreign Banking Organizations (FBOs).
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
Experience preparing and reviewing accounting adjustments and journal entries.
Knowledge of Federal Reserve regulatory reporting requirements.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with regulators and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with FR Y-15 reporting.
Experience working with global financial institutions or foreign bank branches.
Knowledge of Basel regulatory reporting concepts and systemic risk reporting.
Experience supporting regulatory reporting automation initiatives.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms.
