Job summary :

This role is for a technology specialist with seven to ten years of experience in Azure administration and MS SQL Server administration, working in a hybrid model during day shifts. The specialist will ensure reliable cloud and database platforms, enabling secure and resilient services that support global business operations and positive outcomes for clients and communities.

Responsibilities :

-Manage Azure resource groups, subscriptions, and policies to ensure secure, scalable, and cost conscious cloud environments that support critical enterprise applications.
-Administer Azure virtual networks, subnets, and connectivity components to maintain resilient and performant communication across hybrid workloads.
-Monitor Azure services and infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools to detect issues proactively and minimize service disruptions.
-Optimize Azure capacity and consumption by reviewing utilization trends and recommending rightsizing actions that reduce operational costs.
-Implement Azure backup and recovery strategies to safeguard business data and support reliable restoration during incidents.
-Administer MS SQL Server instances by configuring databases, security, and maintenance plans to ensure consistent performance and availability.
-Perform regular database health checks, index tuning, and query optimization to improve response times and stability for critical workloads.
-Manage database security by configuring logins, roles, and permissions to protect sensitive information and comply with organizational standards.
-Coordinate and execute database patching and upgrades to keep platforms current while minimizing impact on dependent applications.
-Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge documentation to support consistent operations and efficient issue resolution.
-Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver timely solutions that improve user experience.
-Participate in incident and problem management processes to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions that reduce recurring failures.
-Support automation of routine administrative tasks using approved scripting tools to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.

Qualifications

-Possess a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in information technology or a closely related discipline with a strong focus on infrastructure and databases.
-Have seven to ten years of hands-on experience in Azure administration including resource governance identity management and networking configuration.
-Demonstrate advanced experience in MS SQL Server administration covering installation configuration performance tuning and high availability solutions.
-Show solid understanding of backup recovery strategies and disaster readiness for both Azure resources and SQL Server databases.
-Exhibit practical knowledge of monitoring tools for cloud and database platforms with ability to interpret metrics and implement improvements.
-Display familiarity with automation and scripting for administration tasks using commonly adopted enterprise tools and frameworks.
-Bring experience working in hybrid work models and distributed teams with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
-Prefer exposure to compliance security standards and governance practices related to cloud and database operations.
-Value continuous learning by staying current with emerging Azure and SQL Server capabilities and applying them responsibly to business solutions. ]
