Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge and a PMP certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile/Scrum processes, removing delivery impediments, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of insurance technology projects.

The candidate should have hands-on experience working with P&C insurance products, claims, underwriting, policy administration, billing, or related insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.
Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, Architects, and business stakeholders.
Remove impediments and proactively address risks and dependencies impacting sprint or project delivery.
Track sprint progress, velocity, burndown, and other Agile metrics.
Coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
Support project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue tracking, and delivery governance.
Apply PMP/project management practices where appropriate to support successful delivery.
Ensure Agile delivery aligns with organizational processes, standards, and business objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve team productivity, quality, and delivery predictability.

Required Skills

7+ years of overall IT experience
4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
PMP certification – Mandatory
P&C Insurance domain experience – Mandatory
Experience managing cross-functional technology teams
Strong knowledge of Agile ceremonies, Scrum framework, and Agile metrics
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools
Strong communication, facilitation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and project timelines
