The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across API and integration initiatives, establish scalable integration patterns, guide development teams, and ensure that integration solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and business requirements.
Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Define and implement enterprise API-led connectivity strategies using System, Process, and Experience APIs.
Design scalable, reusable, secure, and high-performing API and integration architectures.
Lead API design and implementation using MuleSoft technologies including:
Establish API governance, reusable integration patterns, development standards, and technical best practices.
Lead integration architecture discussions with enterprise architects, application teams, security teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
Translate business processes and functional requirements into integration architecture and technical implementation plans.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, design reviews, and code reviews for MuleSoft engineers and developers.
Design integrations between cloud, SaaS, on-premises, legacy, and enterprise applications.
Support integration with Salesforce and other enterprise platforms where required.
Define security standards for APIs, including authentication, authorization, policies, certificates, and secure data exchange.
Develop and oversee deployment, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support strategies.
Drive API lifecycle management from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and retirement.
Work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD processes and automated deployment practices for MuleSoft applications.
Identify performance, scalability, reliability, and integration risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, API documentation, implementation plans, and other technical documentation.
Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex MuleSoft and enterprise integration issues.
8+ years of IT experience aligning technology systems and integration solutions with organizational business processes.
5+ years of experience in a technical lead, integration lead, architecture, or equivalent leadership capacity.
5+ years of experience designing API architectures and developing software implementation plans.
4+ years of hands-on experience implementing APIs using API-led connectivity and MuleSoft technologies.
3+ years of experience with MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), or comparable enterprise service bintegration technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Designer, Exchange and API Gateway/API Manager.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, XML and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable enterprise APIs.
Experience leading technical teams and coordinating integration delivery across multiple applications and stakeholders.
Candidates must possess at least one valid relevant professional certification. Preferred certifications include:

MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or MuleSoft Certified Developer.
Experience architecting large-scale enterprise MuleSoft implementations.
Experience integrating MuleSoft with Salesforce.
Experience migrating legacy ESB or point-to-point integrations to API-led architecture.
Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or similar middleware platforms.
Experience with CloudHub and/or Runtime Fabric.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS and API security standards.
Experience with CI/CD tools and source-control platforms.
Experience with automated API and integration testing.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Strong stakeholder management and technical communication skills.
Ability to lead distributed development teams in a fully remote environment.
