Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a major cloud modernization initiative. This role requires deep expertise in Azure architecture, DevOps, cloud networking, security, and IaC. The engineer will act as a technical bridge between the client and vendors, guiding the buildout of a new Azure tenant from the ground up to support enterprise systems migration.
Only candidates currently located in the Triangle region (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) will be considered due to required onsite presence.
Required Skills (7+ Years)
Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure best practices (security, scalability, performance optimization)
Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills
Preferred Skills
Handson experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, and security
Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cloudbased software solutions and infrastructure components
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using DevOps methodologies
Deploy and manage Azure network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security
Provide a scalable platform for application development and deployment
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to guide cloud architecture decisions
Support the creation of a new Azure tenant to enable enterprise cloud migration
