Job Details- Lead the design and delivery of complex bridge and transportation engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Develop design alternatives that consider technical requirements, constructability, permitting, community needs, and regulatory constraints.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate technical, financial, and project management requirements.
- Work directly with clients, government agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve complex issues and advance projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and other team members.
- Collaborate with bridge design professionals across multiple offices and states to share expertise and develop innovative solutions.
- Help establish technical standards, guidelines, and best practices within the bridge practice.
- Take an active role in project planning, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and overall project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 16+ years of relevant bridge or transportation engineering experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain additional state registrations as needed.
- Strong experience with bridge design and complex transportation engineering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large or multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven ability to develop practical design solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work directly with clients and public agencies.
- Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
