Position: ADMS Products consultant
Location: Jackson, MI (Onsite)
Business requirements analysis — Gather and interpret business and data requirements to evaluate vendor software capabilities and recommend solutions that support organizational goals.
MS solution configuration — Configure, maintain, and optimize the Emerson/OSI/AspenTech ADMS product suite, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and operational needs
Process automation opportunities — Identify and lead automation and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Architectural decision making — Make key architectural decisions and design integrations between ADMS/COTS solutions and the broader enterprise ecosystem with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Advanced configuration scripting — Develop scripts or embedded software within vendor platforms to perform complex configuration tasks, automate workflows, and enhance system functionality.
Lifecycle quality improvement — Continuously refine and improve ADMS/COTS solution quality by applying emerging best practices and modern techniques throughout the software lifecycle.
Cross functional collaboration — Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendor partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and successful adoption of ADMS capabilities.
Other assigned duties — Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Skills Expert scripting proficiency — Mastery of languages used within ADMS/COTS ecosystems (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL variants, Visual Basic, ABAP).
Technical leadership-Ability to coach, mentor, and guide product teams through complex technical challenges.
Vendor management — Skilled in negotiating with vendors and navigating platform constraints, compliance requirements, and technical limitations.
Team collaboration — Promotes a culture of shared learning, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Communication excellence — Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear technical discussions and stakeholder alignment.
