Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team supporting Market Risk applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production support, SQL, UNIX/Linux, and monitoring toolsets, and a proven ability to resolve incidents, drive root-cause analysis, and improve operational stability.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve business queries in the Market Risk space.
- Manage the user query mailbox and ensure timely, accurate responses.
- Support feeds and batch processes, including alert management and monitoring.
- Leverage ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk for updates and reporting.
- Perform incident management, user notifications, and escalation handling.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base materials.
- Coordinate with development teams to drive resolutions.
- Assist with metrics creation and reporting.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform Business Continuity testing and documentation.
- Organize and run issue-resolution meetings independently.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of production support experience.
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Strong UNIX/Linux expertise.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-regional team.
- Hands-on experience with ITRS, DynaTrace, and Splunk.
- Working knowledge of Autosys and Bob jobs.
- Python scripting proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
- Financial industry experience.
- Knowledge of Market Risk.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Operations exposure with Windows OS.
- Working knowledge of Tableau.
