Job Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled Disaster Recovery Programmer / Application Support Analyst to support disaster recovery testing, application enhancements, reporting automation, and API development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful or SOAP APIs, and application support. This role also involves disaster recovery documentation, test coordination, issue tracking, and process automation. Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow Flow Designer, or Fusion Risk Management is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with application teams, DevOps, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to improve application resilience, reporting capabilities, and disaster recovery readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and technical issues.
• Develop and enhance reporting features and application functionality.
• Develop, test, maintain, and enhance RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.
• Coordinate application maintenance activities with DevOps and relevant technical teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Develop scripts and automate repetitive operational and reporting tasks.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) test documentation for all in-scope applications.
• Maintain and update recovery plans, procedures, and supporting technical documentation.
• Support ad hoc reporting and disaster recovery planning activities.
• Script and enhance recovery plan creation procedures within DR management tools.
• Support DR test execution, coordination, and test-day management.
• Track issues identified during DR testing through resolution and closure.
• Prepare test completion reports and classify results as Pass, Pass with Issues, or Fail.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal infrastructure teams during testing.
• Understand disaster recovery replication technologies, including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Prepare monthly Disaster Recovery Test Management (DRTM) metrics and status reports.
• Review existing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and recommend enhancements.
• Improve and automate disaster recovery planning and reporting workflows.
• Support and enhance recovery planning processes using Fusion Risk Management or similar platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on JavaScript development experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful and/or SOAP-based APIs.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code or similar development environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and sound judgment.

Preferred / Highly Desired Skills

• Experience as a Salesforce Administrator or with the Salesforce Platform.
• Experience with ServiceNow, particularly Flow Designer.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, data models, and object relationships.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) methodologies.
• Experience with GitHub and version control.
• Exposure to Fusion Risk Management or similar disaster recovery and business continuity platforms.
• Familiarity with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and disaster recovery replication concepts.
• Experience with DR testing coordination, metrics, documentation, or recovery plan automation.
