Our client, a leader in structural engineering and precast concrete systems, is seeking a Precast CivilEngineer to join their team. As a Precast Civil Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting project design, analysis, and execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Precast Civil Engineer
Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana
Pay Range:$130,000 - $150,000
What\'s the Job?
\t- Perform structural design and analysis of prestressed and precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, wall panels, and related systems. \t
- Design and evaluate specialty concrete systems such as underground utility trenches, electrical/communication duct banks, and deep foundation systems. \t
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, shop drawings, and erection drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability. \t
- Coordinate with detailers, production teams, and field personnel to ensure alignment between design intent and fabrication/erection processes. \t
- Review RFIs, submittals, and design revisions throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
What\'s Needed?
\t- Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. \t
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in precast/prestressed concrete engineering. \t
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required. \t
- Strong knowledge of prestressed concrete behavior, PCI design standards, and load paths. \t
- Experience with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar platforms.
