Basic Requirements:
- Security+ Cert
- 15 years of experience as a System Administrator
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree
Job Description:
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Required Experience:

- Hands-on experience operating and administration of various Linux OS (i.e. RHEL9, Talos)
- Experience with building host image templates with automation tools (i.e. Terraform, Packer, SALT, Ansible, RHEL Satellite, Jumphost)
- Experience with Trellix Endpoint Security and Firewall, Nessus Security Center, UAM, rsyslog and auditd
- Working knowledge of DISA STIGs, CVEs, and IAVAs for STE/STN compliance
- Working knowledge of PKI infrastructure and authentication/authorization processes
- Working knowledge of certificate, DNS, and IP management
- Understanding of VMware vSphere vCenter, vSphere API and related services
- Understanding of Amazon AWS EC2, EC2 API and related services
- Basic understanding of containerization concepts and operations, i.e. Docker and Kubernetes
- Basic understanding of GitOps development and CI/CD (Gitlab)
- Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Salary: $165,000 - $175,000 annually
