Lead Systems Integration Engineer (F-22 Ogden Test Enterprise)
Lead integration and testing at the F-22 Ogden Test Enterprise (OTE)-the premier full-system, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) software integration lab. In this vital leadership role, you will command the testing of the F-22's full system code using actual cockpit hardware, pilot interfaces, weapons, sensors, and processors to ensure the Raptor maintains absolute air dominance.
What you will accomplish:
- The Ultimate Test Arena: Work in the military's top-tier HWIL integration lab, directly interacting with real F-22 cockpits, displays, on-board processors, and radar/weapons hardware.
- High-Impact Technical Leadership: Act as the lead engineer and subject matter expert across critical combat domains, coordinating team milestones and driving testing processes.
- Next-Gen Integration: Apply advanced engineering and computer science principles to seamlessly integrate next-generation software capabilities onto legacy and future hardware.
- Full-System Integration & Testing: Lead test and integration efforts across critical avionics suites, including weapons/store management, radar, electronic warfare, radio/data communications, and mission planning systems.
- Team Leadership & Project Flow: Communicate assignments, milestones, and deadlines to a multidisciplinary engineering team while providing managerial backup for lab leadership as needed.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Isolate, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware-to-software interface anomalies using advanced diagnostics.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement innovative improvements in laboratory workflows, simulation testing, and data collection.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to lead, plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
2. Knowledge of electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
3. Knowledge of software and hardware test requirements, specifications, and how they are converted into automated test and operational flight programs, along with a knowledge of test system instrumentation and their appropriate design application to engineering testing requirements, and how they integrate with avionics software and hardware systems and of the OFP development environment to effectively accomplish assigned functions and fulfill the mission.
4. Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and security requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, TOs, and/or directives.
5. Skill at software/hardware integration and troubleshooting and at applying professional judgment in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches and in devising solutions or conclusions to highly complex problems, both programmatic and technical.
6. Ability to plan, conduct, and record engineering investigations and inspections; to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions; to plan and organize work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to develop written guidelines, procedures, and policies; and to maintain good working relations.
7. Ability to plan and monitor large and complex engineering or scientific projects; to search out and development new or greatly modified methods and approaches so as to assure applicable objectives, standards, and requirements are met; and to adapt precedents or make significant departures from previous approaches to similar projects in order to provide for specialized requirements of some projects.
